Where Magic Comes From

Chasing light, and the stories it tells

I grew up very much reading through atlas books of mountains and hearing my dad tell stories about growing up in the Cascades. Fascinated by the hiking he would take me on as a child, I always wished I could see more. So when my parents bought me a camera for my 18th birthday, it was all I needed to start exploring life as a photographer. Little by little over the next several years I managed to pursue it. I was lucky enough to become the team photographer for the Buckinghamshire New Uni basketball teams, and later worked alongside Wycombe Heights Golf Centre as an events photographer, covering competitions and charity days on behalf of members and local benefactors. It was these experiences that really gave me a push to pursue this dream.

From holidays in giants to sweat and cameras

I didn't grow up with a camera in hand, but I did watch my parents record our history on theirs. I remember seeing photos of mountains I likely would never see or seek. Now I can record my trips to mountains, my ventures in cities, and the accomplishments of people with similar minds. I picked up my first DSLR during COVID and it took me from there. Now whenever i travel my camera is the first thing I pack and the first thing I check.
